Default Geneseo Airshow, The Greatest Show on Turf

2nd year going to this airshow, love to see the vintage aircraft. Mostly WW II planes, but some modern aircraft and even some WW I replicas. It's hosted by the 1941 Historical Aircraft Group (HAG), they have a museum and turf runway. Huge turnout but definitely worth seeing.

Great shot in #1 Mike...nice and sharp with prop blur. As an aviation photographer, I know it is tough to get a sharp impage with a slower shutter speed. I could not read the EXIF--what shutter speed did you use? Also, what lens?

Nice job!

All were show with the DA 55-300mm lens. I played around with shutter speed, all of these were at 1/125. I agree, it was difficult getting good sharp photos at that speed, I bumped up to 1/200 and 1/250 for some of my later shots.
My apologies on the exif, I'm linking the images from my picasa album so it's not showing all the info.

Very nice shots! I've never tried aviation photography, but would love to try an air show sometime.
