Default The eyes have it

Now, a bit of a confession, most guys are a "leg or a breast man" but I am an eye man, I find eyes fascinating. I fall in love with a womans eyes long before I notice the size of her bust or waist. My girlfriend has the most amazing eyes, and she kindly let me take a macro of them, and I thought it might be interesting to follow on from this and make a series of photo's of eyes. I'm not sure if anyone else is as fascinated with eyes as me, so was wondering if it was worth pursuing further. Here's the eye that started the idea off.

She is probably going to kill me, but it's a small price to pay to declare to the world how much I love her eyes

Nice rendition. However, a little too much detail for my tastes!

I like it because I like the sharpness and extra detail.

Haha I have an even closer one than that jelpee!

Thanks Harriet, so do you think it's worth taking further? wouldn't be hard to find subjects, just wondering if people would find it interesting enough to share.

Gorgeous eye(s) however I would have cropped everything out but the actual iris itself to see those lovely mottled blues/brown in the eye. Bit like when you see a dragonfly head in macro it's .... verrry nice, but when you see the same eye in extreme detail it's ... Wow !

Cheers fella!

I do have some closer crops but have not adjusted them yet, this was only an example rather than an image for showing off. Using the ringflash I find even if the image is exposed perfectly it leaches out a lot of the colour from the eye so takes a while to tweak it back to how they really should look.

I'd prefer to just see the iris. I'm interested in seeing "into" her eye, but the texture of the skin around keeps distracting me.

Nice and clear, though.
