Default 3 more Pentaxians are born.

3 more Pentaxians are born.

I just sold my walk-about Pentax K100d to one of the guys working at my plant.

He was looking at trying out a more advanced camera and said his wife and son wanted to try it out as well, but he didn't want to dump a lot of money into it at the start.

So I sold him my walk-about Pentax K100d w. 18-55mm and a Pentax-A 50mm f2.0.

I told him it was only 6 megapixels, but I also showed him some of the shots I got with this camerat. I told him a couple of upgrade paths down the road as well. (50-200mm lens or K-r).

I'm sure the price (a song) I sold it to him was the deal maker, but he also wanted me to take his picture in green mode outside against some bushes. I took the shot and showed him the picture on the computer without any PP and the 1st thing he said was . . . "The colours are so beautiful. And its so clear." I think that sold him too. <grin>

He's going camping this weekend, so I told him I expect to see some shots next week.

I'll start pointing him to different websites to start learning about more advanced stuff and teach him about the k-mount so if he sees some k-mount glass out there he can start taking advantage of that . . .

And so . . .

3 more Pentaxians are born . . .

Glad to hear that your camera has gone to a good home. Perhaps he'll visit here occasionally? It's fun to see cameras continuing on with new owners.

Thanks!

I already told him that I would give him a bunch of sites to start learning more about photography and this site is on the top of the list!

Take care!
