Thanks for the feed back guys.

Hans, Point taken. One of my bad traits I'm trying to overcome.

Thanks Th, The graffiti back grounds were exactly what I had in mind when I took the shots and I agree they look the most natural. And yes, I agree some look a little fake but, I think its has a lot to do with the perspective of the background shot in relation to the perspective of the studio shot. Once I can figure out to judge that better when I'm shooting will help a lot. But hey, I'm having a lot of fun learning and playing around.

Harriet, I tried another background. See if this works any better. I know its still not the greatest.

And Hans, I like your idea, does this work any better?
I can blur it a little more if you think it needs it.

John, the exposure in your camera is just great! Excellent. Great lighting, very well done!

GW, I am in awe of these photos. If I look carefully at some of them, yes, I can tell you used an artificial background. But at a casual glance, they look very convincing to me. (Obviously, we have people on this forum who have much more discriminating eyes than I do, which is one of the reasons I learn so much on this forum.) But one thing that jumps out immediately about the latest background forBrook, is that the wagon wheel casts a distinct shadow, but Brook does not! I think the hand resting on the wheel is very convincing, but the lack of a shadow kinda screams at me.

But as I said, I'm really impressed with all these shots, especially when you showed us the original image of Brook. Those digital backgrounds can be very convincing.

Thank you Eetu!
Ted, I'll have to see what I can do about casting a shadow.

John - one thing I have noticed on a second review is that the girls' feet, in a lot of these, have been cut off or partly cut-off. I think that's a no-no. If cutting off I think it should be above the knee ... or not at all. More close-ups a la #3 & #4 with interesting expressions (a variety of emotions, anger, fear, pouting, contempt etc. etc.) would be fun too !

GW - You captures look amazing! And your group of models are lovely with great poses! My only comment would have been about the feet too. It seems like my last few comments have been about the feet. (No. I don't have a foot fetish! Really! <grin>)

My favorites are #3, #7 and #9. I like the posing in those particular shots. As others have said, your lighting was spot on! And you did a superb job with these being hand-held pictures! I would've never known, had you not said anything about it! Great job!

Yeah, me too. Some of the shots were clipped by my lack of attention to framing and some were done to make it fit the background perspective better.

Great shots GW,
the backgrounds I like the least are
nr2: it's got to much dof for me to look natural
nr6: I just don't like stones in the background.

all the others are super (imho)

Cheers Ronny
