Default Old Boat--Farewell Summer

Hate to say good-bye to summer, but it is getting cold and the leaves have changing colour for the last two weeks. Here is an old boat at the lake near my home, a memory of a wonderful summer.

Love the picture! Wish we could be that close to saying goodbye to summer, though I really can't complain. It's been a pretty mild summer so far - though our greatest heat is often in September or early October, so we have lots of summer to get through yet.

What I always find humorous is that the department stores will be stocking wool clothes and heavy coats when it's 100 F out and I'm desperately searching for shorts and short-sleeved shirts.

Amazing that you still have heat in Sept. and Oct. Glad you liked the photo Harriet. Thanks.

I also like your image, especially the reflection and changes in the color of the water. I really enjoy our site due to the global membership and the scope of information provided with all the images people post. What a nice way to learn about the peoples lives around the world while maintaining a common interest.

Great composition Ned...the reflections always have a high degree of appeal to me.

I also love taking picture but unfortunately I don;t have talent with it, however I never stop believing and admiring those beautiful pictures that other people take.
