Default Forest Mushrooms

Took this photo in real hurry... had to drive back to the city to take my son to the train station... but other than a little noise and all, it worked out fine for a quick click and run shot. Again, I wish this photo were a bit sharper.. it was just a quickie...

Yeah, sharper would have been better; but it's still a great composition!

I like it

Colors are nice and the missing DOF doesn't hurt too bad.

The only problem is that the more time you spend, the more you adjust the settings trying to get it right. Then when you get home you discover the one setting you didn't change/try is the one you should have and you throw them all out in disgust. Better to have the quick shot that looks pretty good, even if the focus might have been a hair off.

Hi Ned,

Hope you don't mind, in view of your comments re. sharpness, I couldn't resist a tweak with Topaz Labs Detail Photoshop plug in ... I think it helps. ... Jack

I have two Topaz products, but not Detail. Many thanks for this. I wonder what the photo would like with more of an average between yours and mine. Many thanks! Ned

Hi Ned

I just applied the "micro contrast enhancement" preset with no corrections.

I've just done another one with the "creative detail enhancement", and just advanced the deblur setting a little ... I think this will be nearer your preference. Both have been very quick tweaks ... Jack
