Isn't it amazing how quickly the light & color can change!

Very nice series - great use of the framing!

Wonderful photos Jim! Just curious -- was that sunset from Saturday evening, August 27th? I remember seeing a magnificent sunset here in Vermont that evening, and I remember thinking that red sky at night is supposed to be a sailor's delight, but Tropical Storm Irene was coming straight toward us, and it was well known that the next day would not be anything resembling fine weather.

Thanks for the comment - I took these the evening of Sept 6th. I never understood the saying "Pink sky at morning, sailors take warning, Pink sky at night, sailor's delight." Generally here in western New York, our weather comes out of the west, so if the sky is pink at night, there are clouds in the western sky, and they are coming our way, however, on the other hand, for those clouds to be pink in the western sky there must be clear sky behind them for the sun's ray to reflect off them from below the horizon - so I'm over thinking this and need to get some sleep.
