Default Replacement K5 Arrived!

Yeah, my new K5 arrived, and so far seems fine. No stains no trouble with LV, in fact when I come out if live view it seems to sound snappier! I think this one is good! Tomorrow I'll take it put for a good spin. Shot about 70 images with liveview, and no freezing!

Good news! I hope it was delivered early so that you didn't have to spend
most of the day waiting by the front door

Good luck with this one.

Hope all goes well tomorrow. Just go out and have fun shooting, the K5 still surprises me on occasion.

Yes, that's what I plan to do. So far everything seems fine. Do you use the in camera lens correction stuff? It really does slow the camera down.

Thanks Mole. I was just wondering which camera, and lenses you have Mole? Your pictures are simply wonderful! I really enjoy following them.

I don't use the in-camera lens correction. If I want something like that, I use LR and will make corrections, if desired, in post processing. I rarely do that, unless I'm shooting in a situation where a particular lens will show CA or PF, or if there's some barelling/pincusioning effect that becomes annoying (architecture, for instance). For the most part, I don't bother. I suppose it's nice to have, but I prefer to have the extra speed.

Glad you enjoy them the photos - I am blessed to live in a very photogenic region!

To answer your question:
Camera - K20D (used to use a KM, until it fell and is now "partly disabled")
Lenses - have a fair number, those used most: Pentax A 35-105, Pentax A 70-210, Pentax DA 35 macro, Pentax DA 16-45, Pentax A*300 F4, Pentax SMC 135-600, Sigma 105 macro, Sigma 70-300 APO.
