Congrats on your decision! Look forward to seeing your pics (mind you, I always did!).

Currently feeling very envious, especially as my GX-10 hopelessly underexposed the vast majority of the photos from my trip to NY & Niagara in May (just to show how useless I am I'm still only halfway through applying the PP - rather more than usual in a rescue attempt).

So many items on my "to buy list", so little spare cash ... still there's always the lottery

Enjoy your K5

Well, I jinxed myself by saying I should take the day off. I did go to work, but hadn't felt great when I woke up and felt worse as the day wore on. So, ended up home about 1:30. Delivery was made about 4.

Battery is charging now and I'm sorting through the manual. Wish I felt a little better to go out with it when the battery's charged. Suspect it will be dark and it's raining to boot. Hmmm, could test the higher iso indoors.

Anyway, first impressions having never seen or held it before, seems a little smaller and lighter than the K20. Most things are there, just in different places than I'm used to. But, that can be managed. I love the larger screen. Put the battery in to start to make sure it worked. But, the battery was down to the lowest bar. So, didn't do anything.

I can hardly wait to get the battery in and play with things. Hopefully I'll be awake when it's charged. Fading fast here.

Patty

Sorry about you getting sick, but see, you were meant to be there when the camera arrived. The interface was intimidating to me when I got the K7, and occasionally frustrating. However once I got used to where things were I loved it. It's so nice to have all those commands available without scrolling through extra memories. And I still haven't figured out all of the various options/commands - there's so much more to this camera than any one I've owned before. Looking forward to your first pictures.

Neither of those are an obstacle ... it's a K5

Hope you're feeling better Patty.
