Default Iso 5000-10000

This camera is amazing. These were hand held using my 55-300mm lens. The first two were shot at 5000 ISO, the last one at 10000 ISO. no further noise reduction used, and they were JPGS. This was done in low ambient light.

Very fun photos! You are right that the high ISO is amazing, I leave the camera set to go up to to 12,800 on auto - though I'll use noise reduction when shooting that high usually. But they are still quite useable. Amazing, especially when I remember being frustrated with ISO 1600 on the K10.

Incredible, I agree. The tubes are great subjects. My K-5 got here just before dusk today, so I only had time to fire off a couple of shots after the initial set-up. Can't wait to have a chance to get out and play with it tomorrow.

You'll love it Paul. I had the K7 for about a year, and the sensor in this camera is so much better. Now the TAv mode is really useful.

Those images are astonishing for such high ISO settings. I really have to get a K5 one of these days!

Thanks. You really need to just go buy one. Life's short. Enjoy it.
