Default Stain or Dust?

I'm pretty sure this is dust, but would like your opinions. it's almost at the very bottom of the screen dead center so you would probably never ever see it. As long as its dust I won't do anything with it till I use my free cleaning from the two year warranty. Please tell me its dust. The first image is at F22, the second at f16, you can't see at any other F stop. I can't get rid of it with a large rocket blower! Hardly ever change lenses, and when I do it's always indoors.

Definitely not the stains I had on mine. Looks like some sort of dust to me.

I agree. they look like dust spots to me. You can probably get rid of them by running the sensor cleaning cycle.

No, the sensor cleaning won't get rid of it. It's just one dust spot at the bottom of the sensor, and will probably never be seen. You can't see it at all at anything larger than f16. When I send it in for the free cleaning from the extended warranty, I'll have them clean it. Even my large rocket blower won't budge it.

G'day tony

I had 1/2 dozen of these on my Kx sensor - showed up at small apertures - wouldn't budge during 'normal' cleaning

Took the plunge & bought an 'eclipse' sensor cleaning kit and after 2-3 goes [to get it right] "i am now clean again"

Regards, Phil

I'm just glad it's not the stain issue. My serial number is 403xxxxx.
