Hi all. I have had the 16-50 for a while now, not had the 16-45. Very good lens, if not a bit bulky. I think very good IQ, I rarely shoot wide open. The most frustrating aspect is the,(on my older version serial #9027207), infrequent inability to focus. I have read good reviews of the new 16-85 if no weather sealing and slower apeture are not a problem.

Though the mist/fog makes the shot feel soft, the image is actually very sharp. I think this balance lends to the mood of the shot. Very nice indeed!
