I was intrigued with the glass pyramid out side the Louvre, and the Latin quarter. To bad I didn't have a Pentax at the time.

I'm very much interested in that lens Tony, so I'll look forward to seeing some images with it. I changed trains in Paris in 1978 but never saw the city, so I cannot offer any suggestions.

Can't give you any suggestions for Paris. I've visited the city twice, but it was early '70s and I don't really remember much about it other than Notre Dame (which is quite the church).

I too am interested in the lens, Hope or see your impression of it in a future post. The K5 and that lens should do well inside the Louvre, you shouldn't miss it

Thanks everyone. I'll pack as much in as I can. My lens arrived today. The few test images I took looked great! Man is this thing quite! At first i thought it was defective because i had the focus beep set so low. Then i noticed the picture would just pop in focus. Focus seems to be dead on. I think i'm really going to like this lens if the first images are any indication. I'll post some photos, and thoughts tomorrow when I take it for a real spin.

Thought I was going to get out with it today, but looks like I may not. Tomorrow I should have the time.

Did you get the weather sealed version of the lens? If so I am interested in how you feel it works in not so perfect weather as I may get one in the future for that reason.
