I'll cast my vote now. I was going to hold out in case of a tie, but I really like pboeger's shot of the chess pieces. Have liked it all month.

So, my vote goes to pboeger.

Bokeh - is defined as the out of focus area of an image. So for me regardless of the content of the photo, because anything in-focus doesn't fall under that definition, that is what I was looking for.

Many lenses can provide that ultra-smooth creamy bokeh so I was looking for something different and two shots stood out in that regard ; UJEFROCNROL's dragonfly shot and Ronny's Hand, in the end I give my vote to Ronny's Hand because I love the spherical highlights !

Not quite sure about that Jim. A lot of people also consider the quality of the spherical highlights a key element in producing a fantastic bokeh

I struggled with this definition as I was thinking about shots that I might submit..... I finally came down to an interpretation that left out my submission..... to me, the challenge comes down to shapes in the bokeh that actively add to the composition.....I like Ronny's hand.

Well, I don't think keeping it open today would change the outcome. It seems Ronny is winning by a landslide.

Congratulations, Ronny! It was a wonderful image. Looking forward to the December challenge.

A very belated but sincere congratulations to Ronny on a very well-deserved win!
