Default High ISO Aquarium Photos

The K-5 continues to astound with its high ISO performance. I did some shooting Thursday night at an aquarium in St. Petersburg. Light levels were very low. I started at ISO 4000 and then had to pump it up to 6400 to get decent shutter speeds. These have had one pass of noiseware at moderate levels.

All shots with the K-5 and the Pentax 18-135mm WR lens.

Really like these, agree that #3 is exceptional. Glad to see that others are continuing to enjoy their K5 cameras.

NICE!!!!! I love my Pentax K-5 at ISO 1600 and 3200. So far hd no reason to shoot anything higher than that.

Paul, I went to the Boston Aquarium in April with my K-7 and was disappointed with the results. I will go back again with the K-5 and I am sure I will be pleased.

Your shots are really getting my juices flowing to use the new camera.

Hi Paul,

Very Nice! Especially with the tough shooting conditions -- You're presenting some great ideas for shooting ops during the winter lull . . .

Great shots Paul. I'm finding shooting Italy a joy with my K5. After six days in Rome were now in Sorrento. The K5 has worked perfectly!
