I also think the series is wonderful and agree with the comments above. # 7 is my favorite She seems to be saying try it you will like it, she seems proud of her food and job.

Wonderful images. And, I'm with Paul and Phil. I could seriously lose some weight if those were my choices for food.

Kevin, I also very much appreciate being able to get a glimpse into day to day life in a part of the world I have never seen. Two summers ago my daughter spent 2 weeks in China with a group of American students. she came back with many delightful and amazing stories, including how the trip guides encouraged everyone to at least try fried cicadas. she tried them and said they weren't as bad as she thought they would be. But she also said she was in no hurry to try them again. But scorpions? Wow, that seems very extreme!

Thank you Patty ! It's not so easy to lose weight over here you know .... the Chinese are massive foodies and like it or not you get dragged in all the time !

Mtnman - Thank you for your comments ! I know that the vast majority of people that visit China have a great time and the diversity pf people, culture and lifestyle amazes most. Scorpions can be eaten alive too - they have a special 'dip' (vinegar based ?) to soak them in that neutralises the venom before devouring them !
