Default pink stripe on side

Hmmmm, I've been taking photos for two days now with the K5, two different batteries and the same 16 GB card. Just noticed tonight when I uploaded them that when I view them in Picasa Viewer, there is a slim pink striped strip on the right hand side of landscapes and top of portrait photos. When I view them in IrfanView it doesn't show. I'm going to upload one of the images here. Only been brought into PSE8, converted from DNG, resized and converted to 8 bit. Nothing else done. I don't know if it will show or not.

Any ideas as to what this might be? Actually, I did notice that it is only on my DNG images, not the JPG's.

I know this is not the best photo in the world. Just the one I picked to play with. Thanks for any input.

Patty

As I expected, it isn't showing. Here is a screen shot brought into MSWord showing what I'm talking about.

Nope MSWord saved as a pdf. File was too large.

Having a time with trying to get this to show.

Patty, have you updated K-5 with latest firmware?

Picasa takes pushing images to a high level. Picasa amplifies the image beyond what other software does.

I had a noise problem with my sensor, that Pentax repaired under warranty. Upon receiving it back, I made the mistake of viewing the new images with Picasa and saw no difference. I usually shoot in very low light, and Picasa just kills the images with noise.

Didn't want to risk doing the update before heading to New Jersey for the weekend. Haven't got my K20 back yet. Will try when we get home. Although, sounds like it might just be Picasso.
