Default 2nd Game of golf and got lucky again

I must admit my main reason for playing golf is the wild life, it certainly isn't for my score. It's common for me to miss about 3 or 4 holes and catch up with my friends at a later hole. They tolerate my madness and just don't keep my score. I ran across several Sand Cranes doing a mating dance and near sunset a Great Egret taking off out of a shallow pond. It seems the birds that fish the golf courses are used to people ignoring them because they let you get closer than they do in other places I try to shoot them.

Most Sand Cranes have about a 6' wing span (some larger). They let me get about 10 feet from them and would just walk away. If I stayed about 20' they would completely ignore me and let me shoot what I wanted. This Egret was shot near sunset at ISO 800. The low light showed off the white bird much better than shots earlier in the day.

Very nice ... I like the ones of the birds just taking flight (especially low light one). I assume you are not in Michigan right now

Very nice set Hans ! I really like #1 and #4 is an absolute killer, wonderful. I really like how you play golf !

However the very last shot you posted looks very dull - I download it and opened it in Picassa (I usually use Aperture 3 or Bibble Pro 5) just for a very quick play ... auto contrast and colour immediately gave the shot a major boost and it looks much much better. Try it

Hans I don't know about your Golf scores but you have no Photography handicap. These are great captures!
