Default Favorite things

I haven't been taking many pictures lately. These are two of my favorite things to photograph - butterflies and flowers. I would have liked to post this in the February monthly challenge (Favorite Things) -- it is not eligible as it relatively recent but not new, however it is one that I like a lot. It was posted last month in the Biweekly Photo Challenge, but I don't think many in this forum have seen it.

I loved this picture when I saw it before - can't ask for much better than this one. Colors are fabulous. Good to see you here, was thinking about you recently (don't ask me why). I always love your photos, and like you, I haven't been taking all that many pictures recently.

Great picture...colours are excellent, composition great...like the way the DOF isolates the subject, also like the slightest blur of the wings...suggesting movement.

The picture has an air of delicacy about it...which I like very much.

Thanks for posting this wonderful image, so needed up here where we are still dreaming sweet dreams about spring, sunhine, flowers and butterflies.
Like you I have done far too little shooting lately, hope to catch up when spring finally arrives.

Beautiful subject, and beautifully photographed. Color, DOF and composition all just right. Is that a Gulf Fritillary?

Beautiful composition Pen. Gorgeous flower, gorgeous butterfly, and perfect bokeh.

Yes, that is what it is - a male Gulf Frittilary.

Beautiful.

Yes, the whole list seems to be slow lately. And, I haven't been taking many photos lately either. Never even took a challenge photo this month. Even though it should have been an easy one.

Anyway, nice image.
