Great images Ed. I like all three -- I couldn't pick a favorite if I tried. I'm not familiar with the glossy ibis -- are they common in your area?

We have quite a few around and they seem to be increasing in nubers over the last few years. They get their name from the glossy sheen on the top of their wings.

Very nice shots Ed, I like the 3rd of the flight images best. They look larger than the white Ibis I've seen on the golf side of Florida but images can be deceiving, the legs also look longer.

For such a 'plain' looking bird it's rather gorgeous isn't it. Love the last shot where you can see all those lovely colours on the wings.

The last shot works for me also. I love the iridescent feathers.

Another fascinating bird, and great job capturing the action and the subtle colors.
