Default April 2012 Challenge: Song Title

Thanks for the votes! This month's challenge is "Song Title" An image that reminds you of a song or that depicts a song title. Usual rules apply, taken within the last 3 months with a Pentax or Samsung D-SLRs. It might be nice to provide a link to the song. Example, song title "Fire Lake" by Bob Seger

This was shot using a Canon P&S

Maybe this is the challenge I need to get back taking photos again. It's been a long winter...

Default Hakuna matata

The picture was taken in Amboseli NP, Kenya.

Mt. Kilimanjaro had been in the clouds all day and everyone was anxious to get a glimpse of it. About an hour before sunset the skies shed their overcast and we stopped in front of a large herd of female elephants and the clouds moved away exposing the mountain. No need for the safari vehicle to change location as a pride of about 5 female Lions were napping in the grass to the left and outside our picture taking field of view. All of a sudden one got to its feet and decided that the pictures we were taking would be greatly enhanced by her presence and slowly and majestically walked into the scene.

Now for us Hakuna matata "there are no worries" (the literal Swahili translation). The scene was complete.

Hmmm, the other night, as I was trying to go back to sleep, I came up with at least 3 ideas of songs and pictures to match. I can't remember any of them now.

Harriet, notebook or voice recorder by the bed. I sometimes rush upstairs for something that I don`t remember when I get there.
What were we talking about?

LOL! I know what you mean. I remember one of the ideas, now to actually take a picture to match. Wish I could remember the others, still can't.

The Platters ~ Twilight Time ~ Way before my time but still one of my favorites. I was thinking this would be easy but it isn't. I spent the weekend in Washington DC (first time) and thinking about "America" by several artists. Shot the Vietnam memorial and thinking about related songs, then God Bless the U.S.A. by Lee Greenwood came to mind but my images just didn't do that justice. I was thinking about Louis Armstrong's What a Wonderful World but I could never pull that off. Still thinking about some Kid Rock stuff from Detroit. Maybe Eminem 8 Mile

So it's Twilight time for now hope to change it later. It was first recorded in 1944 but the Platters made it #1 in 1958
