Default New Family of Eight Cygnets

Surely a sign of spring when the Swans show off their family at the quay - hope you enjoy these as much as we did seeing them.

They are SO cute! I like the series, the shots with both Mom and Dad shepherding the family. If I had to pick just one (glad I don't have to because I like them all), it would be the last one by a hair though.

Please that you liked them, I too have a preference for the last one.

These 2 were shot on my wife's Lumix FZ100 - I must invest a longer focal length lens.

Indeed very cute, and very nicely done. Last shot indeed the most pleasing composition for me too.

PS - If you are willing to work with manual focus, you can find some long lenses relatively cheaply. I've had good success with various birds using a (very old) Pentax SMC 135-600... and have seen some great results with the old M 400 f5.6, just to mention a few...
