Default Back in the fold

Off to Fogo Island (it is raining of course) with the K20D and five lenses:
DA 18-55 WR
DA 50-200 WR
(May need those)

DA 10-17mm
FA 50mm
FA 28-105

Hopefully I will not spend the whole trip with the WR lenses required.

Excellent. We're eager to see what you shoot. So where did the other gear go?

Must be nice to be back home! Will look forward to your new photos. Out of curiosity, what's (where's) Fogo Island? Sounds interesting.

Sounds like a cool place to visit, wish I were there instead of sweltering at home.

A new luxury tourist hotel is under construction at Joe Bat's Arm, Fogo Island. It is an interesting design based on the construction of fishing stages and fish flakes (need the Newfoundland dictionary for those two). Anyway here it is.

Biro, still sorting through what is left, I sold a lot of redundant items but I still have an M 200mm f4, a Takumar K-mount 135mm f2.5, an M 100mm macro (somewhere?!) an excellent FA 28-70mm f4, an FGZ 540 flash, a very old but versatile Velbon tripod, and more Lowepro bags than I know what to do with. Still more I haven't found yet.

Fogo was great, more pictures to come.

Here are a few more images from Fogo Island. Some were shot through the windows of a moving car so please excuse the motion blur.

Three more views of "outport" Newfoundland> I haven't checked the EXIF but I believe that I used the 50-200mm WR for all of these.

Very nice shots! Though the hotel looks out of place, too big for the skyline. But probably a good thing for the economy of the island I guess. Dan wondered why you didn't wait for it to be completed before visiting it though (all right, his sense of humor is more cracked than mine is). I love that picture of you two, very nicely done (tripod?).
