Default K-7 and external flash

Hello guys
I have a problem with this setup K-7 and Metz 48 AF-1.
When flash is on and in PTTL mode there's noticeable shutter lag, like 0,5sec. I press the shutter and then half a sec later it releases. When it's off camera shutter release is instant, in wireless instant and with cheap radio trigger also instant.

I'm sure it was instant before. Not sure about the cause but I think it first strated after I updated camera firmware. Flash got new firmware as well but I did that after noticing shutter lag.
It's not a massive issue as I use flash mostly off camera but it's damn annoying.

Help anyone?

Greg

I don't have that flash, so can't help. But I do have a dumb comment - are you making sure the flash cycles before trying the next shot? I once got totally frustrated with my flash because the camera wouldn't take the picture when I wanted. The problem was the flash's batteries were getting low and the flash was taking a long time to cycle back to ready. Figured I'd mention it, though you probably aren't talking about something like that.

Nope, fresh batteries and green light on flash.

Hi Greg,

I have that same flash, and haven't noticed that problem with it on my K100D.

Having said that It's a while since I updated the flash firmware, must check

that out, also I haven't been using the flash recently.

Not sure if it's possible to reflash the fimware, if so it may help. ... Jack.
