Default sunflowers

My husband and I went to a local farm where the sunflowers were in bloom a few weekends ago. Then, we went out to Plum Island. I only took a few shots there.

The sky was horrible in the direction of the sunflowers, but as you'll see the opposite direction had beautiful skies with puffy clouds.

Here are a few of my photos and the rest can be found at this address.

Well, I'll be back when I can figure out how to link the photos from zenfolio.

Any c&c welcome. I really need to start working on improving my skills.

Patty

That's a great sky Patty. I'm generally not a fan of manipulating photos, but putting that magnificent sky above those beautiful sunflowers would make a really winning image.

gorgeous shots patty! My favorite is the landscape with the row of sunflowers/sky/road in background

Edit: #8.. What a lovely shot.

my only suggestion is perhaps a saturation boost on that one? Its so lovely but looks like a storm is coming. Not necessarily will make it a better image, just a different /brighter/cheerier mood.

Could me my monitor?

I can see this photo being in a magazine

Lovely shots, sunflowers can make the most dark skys look bright.

I love shots of sunflowers, number 7 is my favourite, it would look great with a bright blue sky behind it.

Patty, I love the rich deep colors you got on the sunflowers. The weather was what it was but you shot these well and got some fine images.

Next time you go to post from Z give me a call and I will walk you through the process to get the photos onto Steve's.

Thanks for the tips. I made a few adjustments to #8. Although, the blown out section in the sky doesn't come out well. I should probably just crop that part out of the image. Well, did that. Here it is.

Haven't had a chance to figure out linking. Having laptop problems. Getting very frustrating. Just shuts off in the middle of doing things. Think I got that narrowed down, though.

I'll see about playing around with inserting the sky. I don't know whether it's because I know what it looked like or what, but whenever I do that it just doesn't look right to me.

Patty, looks great!

I'm a bit of a pc nerd so if you're ever having issues with your laptop let me know. You said you think you've narrowed it down so I will leave it at that.

As for the zenfolio linking, Im in the same boat as you. I was bewildered at the easy to use interface but when it came to linking, I couldnt find anywhere so assumed you just couldn't do it.

Maybe if you figure it out you can share that to me? Im sure its something real easy and obvious I just overlooked.

Thanks again for sharing the great series!
