Balloon festivals are so much fun to shoot. We have one near here every year, but the wind has to be just right or they don't fly. Nice shots.

[QUOTE=MadMikeSS;1317221]We waited a couple years to get to see a bunch of hot air balloons launch so it was well worth it. $5 each for the wife and I to get in, free for our kids.

Hope you brought a sleeping bag! :-D
I will have to be on the lookout for an opportunity around here. Cant beat that $10 spent.

That's what happened 2 years ago when we tried to catch it the first time. All weekend the weather was bad. They usually schedule to launch at 6am and 6pm each day of the festival so there is plenty of opportunity. And it's nice that they update their website with current conditions for launch.

And the nice thing is that any profits from the event are donated to charity.

Love the shots! Balloons are such fun to photograph, they always seem so unlikely to me. Love your purple monster, what a great opportunity.
