Default Hibiscus Flower

The last time I'll see Mum and Dad's hibiscus flower, it's been in the front yard for as long as I can remember. It is at least 40 years old.
Only 17 days till I leave on my new adventure in life and the packing continues.

Lovely Hibiscus flower and so meaningful to you as well. Too bad you couldn't take a cutting and bring it with you to your new location.

Lots of good wishes to you on your move.

Lovely, Rodney. I can feel your pangs of emptiness in leaving it behind. While I was in California back a few months ago I was taking photos of all the flowers around my parents house knowing that we would be selling it soon. One shot I regret not having taken was of me and my dad under the tree in front we always took a photo under every time I left to come back home. Except that last time! There was just too much going on that day and we were late leaving and I almost missed my plane. I want to kick myself for forgetting it as I'll never have the chance again.

Anyway, enough of that. Beautiful shot. I wish you luck with the move.

What a beautiful hibiscus!

Don't envy you moving - I've done it more times than I care to remember. Most recently we moved my Mom across the parking lot, from a 2 bedroom apartment into a studio room in assisted living. Not only did we have to pack up everything, we had to find homes for so much. It's amazing how much more you can fit in a 2 bedroom. I hate to think about moving again - we've been in our house for over 10 years, it's a small house and it's amazing how much junk we've accumulated.

Thank You Everyone.

Dad was here for 60 years and I have been here all my life, all except 7 years.
I will miss it very much.

Best wishes and many prayers for a successful move, and much happiness in your "new habitat!" Very fine Hibiscus photo too!
