Default 1st stop the Great Salt Lake

We drove to Antelope Island about 2 miles into the lake on a causeway. It was a very hazy day. The island was desert like with no tall vegetation, not much to see, just a few locals (some buffalo, antelope and a coyote) lots of grazing land and rocks. The lake is quite shallow with large stretches of dry mud around the banks and no fish.

That's a great shot of the Coyote ! Worth the trip for that alone. Looks an interesting place.

The lake shot with the person way out in the water has a wonderful stark beauty. Nice capture. I think you need to clean the lens.

Great shots! We've never actually stopped long enough to look at the Great Salt Lake, that island looks like a cool spot to go and take pictures. Love the coyote - I only ever see them running across the road, never in that type of a pose. Really like the second one, too - it gives me a good idea of what the island looks like.

More wonderful countryside. I've flown over many times. Never realized you could go out on the lake. I love the last one best. So peaceful.

Very nice photos. I'd like to visit the area some day. It's hard to imagine that the animals can get enough water to survive on the island. I would guess that the lake is much too salty to serve as a water source for the wildlife.

Nice shots. Whenever I was at the Salt Lake it had heat haze and was never clear and bright as you are showing here. The island looks like a nice take.

I also like the Coyote picture best.

I agree with everyone else, great pictures. I'm partial to the coyote and antelope pics.
