Default Eaton Spiral

Just had to make sure it was good enough to photograph.

Just a bump to let you know that only 11 days are left. I know there are many more spirals out there just waiting to have their picture taken.

I thought I would take something else, but it doesn't look like I will. I may still change this, but for now my entry will be this one, taken in August.

Shot with the DL. Lots of Picasa editing on a picture of an old spring system from a train car formerly used on the East Tennesse and Western North Carolina Railroad. It was also know as the "Tweetsie Railroad" because of the sound of their whistles. The car resides at a camp in Elizabethton TN and is now used to house campers!

Default Spooky Spiral

My entry. My son is taking a photography class at the local college, film no less, and one of his assignments was long exposure moving a light to get the movement. We collaborated on getting this shot with a piece of foil over the flashlight with a pinhole punched in with him making the spiral in a pitch black room. Nine second exposure. I did a dozen fancy versions including blacking out the room, but he liked this one best because of its Halloween flavor. Boo!

Thanks everyone for participating in the challenge. Lots of interesting and different spirals and creative photography. Now itís time to begin voting. I will keep the voting open through Monday and announce the winner on Tuesday. I will hold back my vote in the event it is needed as a tie breaker.
