Love the shots, and the heat shimmer (or whatever its called) rather adds to the feeling of the picture. I still can't imagine trying to hand-hold a 4 plus pound lens. It amazes me that a number of you out there seem to do so well with it.

Thanks all.

Hand holding the lens now is second nature to me. In Africa all my shooting was hand held as we were crammed into a vehicle and I spent the day with the lens and camera on a Camdapter strap on my hand.
