A fun project. Thanks for the suggestions, mtngal! Here's my contribution to the festive season.

What, ya'all don't know the song about the shy farm kid who sneaks quietly into El Paso and steals the heart of the pretty young maiden from Rosie's Cantina?

That's what I get for trying to put something together after a very long 12 hour drive through snow and rain, when I can barely keep my eyes open, just because I figured that was my only chance to come up with something.

Shot a snow globe in action and then had a lot of fun with special effects, primarily Smart Photo Editor. Merry Christmas!

Pretty cool! I could absolutely see any of the entries as an album cover! I love it!

Default Nature's Christmas Album

Used some of my "bird choir" for my album cover.

We finally got some snow here, although after Christmas. Madelyn went straight out and made a snow angel. I figured I'd try and do a real simple album cover, but wanted to do a bit of a twist. When the girls were playing in the back, I went and took a second pict of them from above and edited that in. I thought it would be funny. The finished album could have the angel embossed or raised ink or something along that line for fun. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to everyone!

Edit: This could be one of the songs on the album. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0ISmE0yRJ8 Alabama - Angels among us.
Edit: I modified the mid tone point and added some more saturation to my girls. I finally looked at the image on my wife's Mac and thought the image was a bit too bright.

So many imaginative and well-prepared entries! Here's a very simple one - part of a Christmas light display at the home park...

Great looking entries! I don't know which one I'm going to vote for yet. They all look great!

I was thinking that we keep submissions open until Jan 2nd? And then vote?

So you can still shoot on the 31st. Enjoy New Years! <yeah>. Recover on the 1st. <grin> and then have one day to edit and submit on Jan 2nd.

What is everyone's thoughts?

I vote to extend. May give time for some more entries.
