Very pretty, indeed! Love the clouds and the shadows/sunlight play on the hills.

I had an unexpected drive through your new city today - we decided driving an extra 100 miles through Phoenix might be better than driving on ice and snow from Flagstaff to Kingman, and the snow didn't look like it was letting up this morning. It was amazing to watch the snow depth go up as we started south from Flagstaff, then eventually change to sleet and then rain as we dropped lower. It was very beautiful as the trees were heavily coated with snow, but miserable driving conditions (and made for a long trip home).

Guess the rain and snow the past two days is a big deal for Arizona-wouldn't be for NH-a lot of new things to get used to.

Folks in Flagstaff didn't seem bothered by the snow, and they seem to be well-organized when it came to snow plows (something I can't say for the SoCal mountains!) and road maintenance. Only reason we opted for getting out of the snow/ice sooner is that we don't even have all-season tires on the Prius and I didn't want to buy/use chains for that long of a time.

But I know what you mean about rain and snow being a big deal out here. It's just that it doesn't happen all that often, so people forget how to drive on wet roads and lose their good sense when it comes to water in drainage channels.

Play of light and shadow, rich skies, all give this photo a wonderful sense of depth and peace.

Just lovely. You haven't missed much snow so far this year. We had a little more than a dusting today. I remember back about 10 years ago when we had 2 feet on Christmas day!

I'm enjoying your new scenery.
