Haven't used one of these in years-since 35mm. Currently own only Pentax lenses-anyone know of a converter that would work with the DA 50-200 or DA55-300?

Thanks

I tried the 1.7 AFA with the 55-300 and wasn't impressed. For one thing, it will only AF in very good light. The image quality was OK, but not great. I see little image quality loss with the DA300 or the Viv macro, but saw more loss with the 55-300. I came to the conclusion that it wasn't the best combination. It might work better with one of the 1.4 TCs, I don't have one so don't know.

From my experience with TCs the image quality depends heavily on the lens. Since the 55-300 is not know as a tack sharp lens especially at 300mm I'd say nothing will work really well with it. Might have better luck with the 50-200 though the quality would probably be no better than just getting the same reach out of the 55-300 alone. I love both my 1.7 AFA and my Kenko 1.5 but there are only certain lenses that really work with them as far as images I consider worth keeping. You can find a used 1.5 for pretty cheap so it could be worth the experiment. Hope this helps some.

Thanks for the replies-but it looks like I am out of luck.
Thanks again
