Wonderful icicles! We never have any that nice, though we do have some.

California gets snow, even parts of Southern California. In fact, there was several inches of new snow on the ground this morning at the house. No pictures though, leaving at 4:30 means that it's too dark for photography (and the unplowed roads aren't iced over yet).

Very nice job on these, great use of light and very sharp (both the photos and the icicles!)
(I always have a hard time getting the lighting right on ice)

Creative use of contrast is a big help with this subject.
