Tough decision - so many interesting approaches, and such fine results. Will have to add my vote to Lou's (Keltech's) wonderful Barred Owl portrait - a great photo, and a great B&W conversion as well.

Whilst I really like Bob's 'crane' shot (and can sympathise, having spent 4 days this month shooting cranes on misty Poyang Lake !) my vote also goes to Lou's excellent Owl.

Sorry I couldn't submit an entry this month PB (love the theme), you can see why from the thread I have just posted.

Many nice B&W shots and a nice easy fun topic. My vote goes to BobIr's cranes, a great moody almost dreamy picture.

And the winner is Keltech's owl. Great shot. Pick next month's subject and let's go at it again.

Thanks everyone for the votes I will post a new challenge tomorrow. I have been away from posting for a while to rest my index finger (lame Excuse). I have been tied up with a lot of odds and ends and should be back posting again soon.
