Default Dog track w/Pentax Q

I put my SMC-M 135mm f3.5 on my Pentax Q for an effective 750mm field of view and joined several friends at the dog races. All shots hand held and manual focused (only option with K mount lenses on a Pentax Q)

I was going to say that those are the cat's meow, but maybe that is inappropriate. Great captures with the Q.

Great captures of all the action - amazing work - am especially amazed at your skill with manual focus at these speeds!

Very cool! I really like them. I keep thinking that a Q would be really nice to stick in my purse for when I don't want to take the K5, but never quite pull the trigger.

I would have never thought the Q could take this level of shots. With my disappointment with the E-PM1 as a small carry around, sold it, I will take a look now that the prices are down. Thanks for sharing.

The Q doesn't get much talk here, check http://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-q/

The Q is discontinued and replaced with the Q10. Some deals are available on in stock Q's about $250 but you need to hurry. Q10 is $550 and adds little to the Q

I got my Q to do things I couldn't do with my Kr like get a 1650mm lens (adapted DAL 55-300mm) or a f1.8 275mm that focuses to 18" (adapted SMC-A 50 f1.7) but anything adapted is manual focus
