This is a hard one for me. So many nice images to choose from. In the end it came down to three pictures Corey's eyes, Mole’s Hawk with great color additions and Kevin's Avocet's in flight. If I were voting with my heart it would be easy and Corey would be my choice but in the end I chose Kevin's Avocet's for the technical difficulty of the BIF, the story it told with the bird carrying his meal in his beak and a great B&W conversion.

I have to heap a lot of praise on my grandson Corey who always was interested in my photography. Two years ago I gave him my K100-D and the two kit lenses. Corey shoots mostly in manual mode and edits in Photoshop. He did so well with the K-100 that I took it back and let him take my K-7 as he is also into video. He has a lot of novel ideas and takes a lot of unusual and creative photos. I am sure he will be posting more pictures here in the future. Thanks for the warm reception you have given him.

I encourage Cory to continue with photography. The shot has a level of maturity beyond his years.

Lots of great ones to choose from. But, I'm voting for Kashka's highway shot.

I'll count votes in the morning since it's so close right now.

Not too late, Hans. And, it doesn't change the vote.

So, the winner is Mole with his owl! Congratulations! Wonderful shot.

Thanks for all the votes - I still think there were several ones much better than my Hawk. But it was fun to play with B&W and selective color. Will post the new challenge shortly...
