Default Snooper

Bushtits usually move in family groups, but we have had two lone youngsters hanging around, probably orphaned by crows. They have been exploring as young ones are prone to do, but these have been insanely curious about what is going on inside the house, hanging on the screens and peeking around the door frames - amusing for us to watch. They didn't stay in one place for very long and were impossible to get a decent picture of, being badly backlighted all the time. I probably shouldn't have posted this heavily processed grab shot of one of them on the door frame, as it was recovered from a silhouette taken through the glass, but it is the only record I have to share of this most unusual amusing behavior, as they now seem to have outgrown their curiosity. Taken with the Pentax X-5 (which is capable of much better pictures under normal conditions).
