Default Home town for the past 30 years

I have lived here far longer than the 21 years in my original home town, so I consider this home. This was shot on March 31, so it is not a contest entrant, just posted for the fun of it. It was taken with the K-30 and 18-135 lens. It is early in the morning at the art festival, when it is quiet and peaceful -- and it looks nothing like the park usually appears.

Okay. Not what I had planned. But, every time I go by to get the shot I want, either the sun is not cooperating or the horses aren't out. So, unless something magical happens tomorrow or Saturday, this is my shot.

This was taken out at the end of Plum Island at Sandy Point State Reservation. We went back in May and all the beaches were closed for the plover. This was taken 5/12. So, not sure if it qualifies. If not, let me know.

Patty

Default "Town" it was...

As I live so far from anything worthy the name town, I really liked the quotation marks around the word, Harriet.

There are buildings where I live, but they are few and far between. So this is a picture of densely positioned man-made structures replacing the houses you can find in a proper town.

It's September, although the summer has gone by way to quickly here in Ohio! None the less it's voting time and I want to start by voting for Kjell's field of hay roles.

Another vote for the hay rolls. It's beautiful in its simplicity.

I'm back from spending the weekend without internet (a strange feeling, can't believe how much I've come to depend on it!).

Thank you, Glenn, for starting the voting.
