Jehan - Thanks for your very kind words. Have spent a lot of time playing with apertures and angles, but still learning...

Rodney - So glad you liked them! Toad was tiny but very patient - this shot was with the 50mm macro, and I had to take the hood off so it wouldn't poke him!

Hawgwild - Herps are indeed a fascinating group of creatures! Glad you enjoyed these views.

Love the second green snake photo. The coil of the body, angle of the shot, and DoF means that the focus plane hits the body in different places. So the head is in focus and then the body starts to blur as it coils around and then there's a section in the middle of the snake that's in focus again. Makes for a great effect. The color is great as well! Kudos!
