Default Strong wind

Shot with my Q on a friends boat during a race. You have to pull the spinnaker up quickly before the wind fills it. When it is blowing things can get out of control fast.

Well, the bell is ringing for last orders. Here in Europe it's only hours left of September. To be on the safe side, voting starts not earlier than midnight Oct 3 GMT. Till then it's OK to make last-minute entries (maybe you want to go out and take that winning picture right now).

Default Voting on September

Hoping it is okay to begin voting on September's challenge, I would go with mole's contribution, as one can imagine the intensity of the (potential) smell -- it almost comes through the computer.

Runner-up would be dane/dawg's, which speaks very well to strength, making an immediate visual impression. I don't suppose this catch will be thrown back in.

I also like the presentation of tony3dd's train, and believe I have been on this one (between Mt. Dora and Tavares).

Bit late to the party, but my vote is for Tony's choo-choo!

If I was early enough I would have posted this one:

My daughter Sophie was born on September the 11th weighing 5lb 13oz (2.63KG). I know the date isn't quite as painful for those of us outside of the US but have friends that lost family in the twin towers so I like to think of her birth as something to heal some of the pain of that sad time.

K-7 Tamron 90mm SP Di Macro.

This also explains my absence (again) looking after a pregnant woman is hard work!

A vote for dane/dawg's fish grab. Those are very hard shots to get.

Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful daughter! My own daughter is now 17 and every day has been special.

It's time to vote! Right now it's a tie between three images, more votes are needed to settle this. Voting will be open though the weekend, Monday evening GMT I'll count the votes and proclaim a winner.
