Default Anhinga Food Play

Last week I posted a series with an Anhinga frustrated trying to get a speared minnow off it's bill. Here is a series showing how Anhinga's normally deal with minnow meals.

Great example of a specialized mode of feeding by this "biological speargun," which often literally spears larger fish than this, and then must flip them free of the bill by tossing them upwards in this manner. Thanks for posting it.
