Default American Bittern

Bitterns are usually very skittish birds that do not like to stay in the open when someone is around. I came across this bird in Green Cay Wetlands, it was standing in one place like a statue. As I found out in time the Bittern was eyeing a meal. A move was made into the reeds and a frog of about seven inches was captured and swallowed. Unfortunately for me the capture was made in the reeds. Unfortunately for you I am going to show what I caught in the reeds.

Good shots. Bitterns are hard to spot. That's one big lunch. Even with the reeds it still tells the story. Thanks for including it.
