I agree that the macro sure brought out the orchid's true nature! However, I just love Glen's (Lyrics51) watch face, so that's what gets my vote.

Can't believe I missed this challenge - with literally 1,000's of macros I've taken lately...

But there sure are some great entries - and it's so hard to choose! Each has its unique merits. But my favorite is Ed's (Snooked's) bee - such a great capture of the action and the detail.

There are a number of ways of doing macro without a macro lens - wish I had thought of it, I would have posted some explanations and examples. Some of the ways cost around $10, some $30-40. And you can combine them later on with a macro lens to get even more magnification. If you are interested, let me know and I'll put together something.
