Default Nice Surprise

I bought this orchid plant for my wife's birthday a couple of years ago. I never expected it to bloom again... really. We were very pleasantly surprised to see the buds and even more surprised when they actually bloomed! Shot in RAW, developed in ZPS.

After a few days of sub zero, that looks really nice. Like the water drops.

Beautiful flowers, and nicely photographed! You've done a nice job of capturing their beauty - it looks like you think very highly of them.

Last year after Dan passed away, one of my wonderful neighbors gave me a basket of dwarf daffodils. I knew I could plant them, but I'm not much of a gardener so figured they wouldn't survive outside. So I watered them faithfully over the summer and fall, not expecting much. Right before Christmas there were green shoots coming out of the pots! They haven't bloomed yet, but they are getting quite tall. I'm amazed that they survived.
