Default Black Skimmers At The Beach

A flock (herd when on ground) of Black Skimmers was hanging around the beach near Pompano Beach Municipal Fishing Pier. They are of the iconic picture when you see them skimming the surface of the water with just their lower bill in the water. They look unusual, the upper bill is only about 2/3rds the length of the lower bill. No skimming shots here, too rough close to shore. Have some flight shots and close ups on the beach.
