Default Least Bittern Nest

This female Least Bittern was being relieved by the male on a somewhat regular basis. The bird became impatient and briefly left the nest to catch a minnow (very small) and return to the nest. This is the activity I caught in this series.

Ed,

Another great set of photos. The last one is very sharp and well lighted. I don't see any exif data -- do you have the settings handy?

200mm @ F11, 1/250 sec., ISO 1600. The original image was a Raw DNG. The sky was totally overcast so the light was soft with no heavy shadows.

Thanks. The Florida sunshine is so bright that an overcast sky can be helpful, especially in getting the even light.
