Default September Challenge - Your OTHER Hobby

So sorry to be so late in posting this - it's been a busy end to the summer here at the park...

For the September challenge: There are so many multi-talented folks here at the forum. Of course, we share the hobby of Pentax photography, but we also have many other hobbies and talents. Thought it might be interesting to see a photo that illustrates another hobby of yours.

Usual rules - taken within last 90 days, with a Pentax or related camera.

Actually this represents two other hobbies, wood working and golf (check out the sweat shirt). I must admit I can control a drill a lot better than a driver! Anyway this is me finishing up a wood frame for a mirror we will be putting in our somewhat renovated bathroom. DL with the kit lens on a tripod delayed shutter.

Okay, it is my first entry in quite some time. My hobbies include writing and drawing, much of which I post on my blog http://www.aicphotography.blogspot.ca/

As a result I have combined all of these by showing my current (rather small) workspace. Shot with K20D and FA 28-80mm f3.5-5.6.

My other interest is boating, I crew on a friends sailboat for racing and have just purchased a new to me power boat. Most of my good shots of racing are shot with a sacrificial non-Pentax P&S, not a good place for a DSLR, but here is one shot with my K30 during a resent trip.

My other "hobby" that takes up a LOT of time is my grandson. Set up the tripod and said "look at the camera." Fun.

Four wonderful and very different entries. Thanks to each of you. Unless there's a last-minute entry, it's almost time to start the voting!!

I am not sure of the basis for voting, but I go for Hans and the boats. It looks like a wonderful day, the blue is beautiful and true, and I wish I was on one of those boats in the lake -- for a leisurely ride!

Although I really like the picture of pboerger and grandson I think that Hans has captured the theme better with his boats.

A vote Hans sailboats. It's a postcard.
