Default November Challenge - Bokeh

Thanks folks. This month is "Bokeh." Outside or inside, background or foreground. Creative use of that blur.

This is a Golden Silk Orb Weaver spider and was taken at Kiawah Island, South Carolina two weeks ago. I was using a DL with the DA 50-200.

It may not be what people think of in the traditional sense when they hear the term "bokeh"...

But I love the creamy bokeh in this photo. It's almost painterly. It reminds me of water colors or something. I liked it so much that I printed this photo on canvas for my house. One of my favorite examples of bokeh that I've taken even if it's not the typical orby out of focus areas.

That is really a neat picture. It does look like someone painted the background!

PB - very belated congratulations on your well-deserved win last month.

November is a very busy month for me - we are in the midst of our annual childrens' bike repair project. So I've taken a fair number of photos on these lovely autumn days, but evenings are full of ball bearings, rusty cables, etc., and not much time for PP work. But here is a recent autumnal shot from over at Rocky Fork Wilderness that should fit this months topic fairly well...

Okay, I admit, it is pretty cheesy and not very original but just being here is the important part. Pentax *istDS, F 50mm f1.7 shot at f1.7.

My vote is for sumx4182, I do like the soft background with no obvious issues.
