Default Old Glass

I won some auctions for a couple of old lenses, A Pentax M 28 f3.5 and a Takumar Bayonet 135 f2.5. The first 2 were shot with the 28 the others with the 135. Fun getting back to manual exposure and focus. Really enjoying the old glass both are rated fairly sharp. I need to get them out in day light.
I have also been hitting some estate sales hoping for some lenses but no luck yet. Still looking for a 400 or 500

Impressive shots! Both give excellent results. Beautiful scenery & color captured nicely!

I've not shot manually as of yet; guess I'm a little timid trying it, but you sure have it nailed!

BTW, with your title "old galss", I expected to see some very old gals!

OOPS I should read before posting, They are old manual focus lenses that don't have a "A" position on the aperture so you need to use the green button to manually set exposure. On the K30 you also can't use auto ISO with old glass.

Nice shots and they seem to be some good lenses, especially for the price If you are looking for a 400mm I can heartily recommend the Tamron Adaptall 400/4. Incredibly sharp lens for it's age. Downside of course is it's weight, and cost.

Hans, just giving you a bad time on the title.

The second one is my favorite, the colors are awesome!

You got nice results with both lenses. I've not tried any M42 lenses and now I'm not using anything that isn't really light. My K 24mm f2.8 lens happens to fall into that category and I used it until I bought a couple of silver lenses in that range.

Hans - such beautiful results from that fine old glass, in some very capable hands!
